A kung fu prodigy from Beijing, Li Fong, relocates to New York City with his mother. There, he befriends a retired boxer and his daughter, leading him into a local karate tournament. With guidance from his kung fu mentor Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and karate sensei Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li navigates cultural clashes and martial arts rivalries.
